The HARD TRUTH, (formerly ”The Launchpad Podcast”) is rooted in personal development until about 1 1/2 years ago when we ushered in the pandemic landscape that has become our ”new normal.” The podcast began to change as Jason recognized the way people communicated with one another did tool. So he wanted to do his best to bridge the gap between both sides and share information that the mainstream sometimes suppresses. This channel champions freedom of speech and expression, a safe space for constructive conversation, and giving people a platform that might not otherwise be given the opportunity. Jason ”J-man” Petrunik has talked to the likes of free thinker, David Icke, politicians Maxime Bernier and Randy Hillier, Stanley Cup Champion Theo Fleury, Grey Cup Champions Randy Spencer and Eddie Brown, Gordie Johnson of Big Sugar, 4 time Juno nominee Jamie Fine and Juno winner Steve Marriner, CCMA award-winning artist Jason Blaine, and 2-time Emmy-award winning sports broadcaster, Lisa Hillary, just to mention a few. This podcast features former covid nurse, Carla, who was fired for refusing mandates. She literally volunteered to work the covid unit of her hospital when covid first hit and throughout the pandemic, with no vaccine. When vaccines became available, she declined, and in doing so, was ultimately fired when the mandates came down.
Carla shares what it feels like to go from being a celebrated member of the pandemic, a hero, to a zero. The conversations behind closed doors in regards to doctors and treatments that would lessen the symptoms/severity of covid, and the reality of people dying alone, saying goodbye through "zoom" or having to choose between loved ones when it came to who they could have by their bedside.
Carla is a caring, loving person, and to think a hospital would let someone like her go is an incredible loss to the health care system. It scares me to think how many other wonderful people that industry has lost, for absolutely nothing.
