The HARD TRUTH, (formerly ”The Launchpad Podcast”) is rooted in personal development until about 1 1/2 years ago when we ushered in the pandemic landscape that has become our ”new normal.” The podcast began to change as Jason recognized the way people communicated with one another did tool. So he wanted to do his best to bridge the gap between both sides and share information that the mainstream sometimes suppresses. James Topp is a 30-year veteran who put his boots to the ground, marching across Canada in defiance of medical mandates that were implemented in this country during the pandemic. He's walking for everyone who felt they had to take part in a medical procedure they weren't interested in, in order to keep their job, see loved ones, etc....
James' trip started in Vancouver and is set to end in Ottawa on June 30th, after a 4000+ km trek. His mission is to engage with MP's in a civil dialogue, and discuss the mandates, how they're affecting people, and where to go from here. This is one of my rants. It's raw. It's real. It's how I feel.
These travel mandates have to go, and why.... because they are stupid, that's why. Just about as stupid as wearing a mask in the car, no expert ever said that was necessary. Yet, at the same time, I empathize with people that exhibit this kind of behavior, because they had the shit scared out of them, in a non-stop propaganda and fear campaign.

This is a throwback to my talk on mental health with Laurie Miggins from the Real Life with Laurie podcast, who is also the organizer of "The Better Normal" summit that focuses on mental health.
I thought it would be fitting with society reorganizing itself, and trying to find its way in this kind of "post-pandemic" phase that we're in.
Laurie has struggled with mental health for a lot of her life, and now she uses that as fuel to drive the message of self-care and self-love. This is quite possibly one of the more transparent interviews I've done as a podcaster.

Matt is the owner of "The Pub House" in Pembroke Ontario, and he reluctantly had to put "vaccine passports" into play. It was a hard decision like it was for many others, but they also have to provide for their own person and families.
This is one of many examples of the divisiveness these passports drive between people, animosity as well. To where one feels discriminated against, by someone who doesn't want to do so. In this episode, there is laughter and tears...
